The Ensanche Izquierdo, or in Catalan, “Eixample Esquerra” literally means the left part of the “Ensanche”, which means “Expanse” or “Extension”. Eixample Izquirdo extends to the left right up to Plaza de España, where the Mont Juic entrance to the Fira Exhibition area, the magic fountains and the palace lie.
